Engaging Your Audience With Content That Matters

Art | Basel 2014

It’s that creative time of the year again, and we’re  heading over to Basel, Switzerland in a few weeks for Art | Basel, June 19-22. We just wanted to check and see if any other global globetrotters are making the trek. We’re always up for meeting like minded navigators of art, and cool people overall.

Please let us know.

KAB Designs chosen by World Food Programme (WFP)

Back in April, a few months after having arrived here in Geneva, Switzerland, KAB Designs was chosen as the agency to do a scoping study on Switzerland, to best determine its online practices and the feasibility of reaching the Swiss audience, especially given that a significant percentage of the population speaks German and French, both official languages, followed by a mashup of others.

As new comers to the market, this was a great opportunity to get to know the population and its online habits, and to develop a methodology for a global agency to devise a strategy in reaching them.

Did you know that at the end of 2012, the Swiss population was 7,000,997 and there were 2,974,340 Facebook users in Switzerland. This represented a penetration rate of almost 40% of the total population and 47% of the total online audience. As of 2014, the Swiss population is estimated to be 8,061,516, with 3,400,000 Facebook users in Switzerland. This represents a penetration rate of almost 42% to a total population.

At last, we’re in the home stretch in delivering the final results. We’re tweaking the design of the study to visually bring it to life, as what’s seen above is simply the rough starting point. Thanks to everyone from the Philippines to Bangkok, Paris to Berlin, Geneva to Rome, and Washington, DC for their input.

Bohol, Philippines 2014 Visit

I just returned from the Philippines where I’m consulting on two projects, one in the earthquake damaged region of Maitum, Catigbian, Bohol, where I’m working to helping to rebuild a small community and offering additional services of creating private sector donor materials, as the typhoon shifted a lot of government and aid recourses to Tacloban, Philippines, ground zero of Typhoon Yolonda efforts.

The other project is a TV pilot aimed at promoting tourism to an international audience outside of the Philippines. As we all know, the end of 2013, the Philippines experienced a variety of unfortunate events in the form of the Zamboanga hostage crisis, followed by the Bohol 7.2 magnitude earthquake, the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda, and to start 2014, a serious measles outbreak in the Manila area.

As I’m sure most are aware of my UN related projects, I just wanted to remind those here in Geneva, that we are back after being away since early December and we’re ready and eager to start the New Year with a diverse rooster of projects. As a creative director & consultant based here in Geneva, I repurpose content, create information dashboards, design info graphics, advocacy and awareness materials including special initiative web sites and Facebook pages, offer photography & video services, and have a variety of journalist and technical writers that work on our range of products.

If you have any projects that you may desire to discuss with us, we’re ready to discuss to see how we may be of service. As always, a sampling of what we do can be found at the website. https://keithabrownconsulting.com/

KAB FEATURED IN CELERIE KEMBLE’S B & W

We’re super excited here at KAB Designs to be included in a book with such design heavyweights. My work appears on pages 26-27 in the form a 2 page spread of the foyer in the K2 Avondale home, and the black master bath suite appears at the bottom right on page 117.

This is a personal project, as it’s my home in Atlanta, that involved taking a rundown 1960′s ranch and turning it into a midcentury modern masterpiece.
