This will mean more to some than others, but with all the chatter going on in SE Asia this week about proper nutrition as essential for survival, health and development for kids, I find it timely to post this photo. I took this last week while down in Zamboanga documenting a micronutrient project for WFP Philippines.
What’s striking about this photo is that theses kids look pretty healthy, right? The reality is this, they would be quite the healthy kids if their growth was not stunted because of malnutrition. Imagine 5-7 year old kids, stunted in body development to look as if they were between the ages of 3-5. Folks, the worlds challenges aren’t just in Africa, WAKE UP.
