Job Description

Responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment, supporting facility upkeep, and executing custom mechanical projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and welding, and will take pride in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform routine maintenance and service on fleet vehicles.
• Perform minor and major engine repairs.
• Perform minor and major drive line repairs.
• Perform minor bodywork on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair manlifts.
• Complete minor facility maintenance tasks.
• Service and repair forklifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Perform minor small engine repairs.
• Perform minor welding repairs.
• Complete DOT inspections for trailers and fleet vehicles.
• Assist with custom one-off projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanic in construction or fleet environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical.
• Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks.
• Familiarity with DOT inspection standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
• Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
