Position Title: Accounting Manager

Wage: $80,000 - $92,000/year

We are partnering with a Rockford, IL area company to staff for a results-driven Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite position.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial statements
- Prepare, review, and present consolidated financial results for management
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to all audit-related queries
- Oversee key accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general ledger, and fixed asset management
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to optimize ERP system functionality and accounting workflows
- Maintain and enforce robust internal controls across all accounting processes
- Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in accounting policies, procedures, and systems
- Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering professional growth and accountability
- Collaborate with teams across supply chain and operations to ensure financial alignment with business goals
- Serve as a key liaison with subsidiaries, ensuring consistency in accounting practices and reporting

Requirements for Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA a plus
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership or managerial role
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Expertise in ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
