Hours: Full-Time
Caseload/Details: Elementary special needs students with educational needs resulting from significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
Requirements: Valid Oregon teacher license with necessary endorsements
Work Environment: Onsite

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Learning Specialist with a focus on Social Emotional Learning to join our team in Lake Oswego, just a 15 minute drive from Milwaukie. This full-time position will serve elementary students with special needs, specifically those facing significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social-emotional learning, a strong commitment to supporting diverse learners, and the skills to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create and maintain a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes social-emotional growth and academic success.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.

• Valid Oregon teaching license with appropriate endorsements in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary students, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and behavior management strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite and adapt to the needs of the school community.
