We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join our team in Bowie, Maryland. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and implementing an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program while overseeing various risk management strategies. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to lead impactful initiatives and make a significant contribution to the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and establish a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program tailored to organizational needs.
• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across various departments.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement effective risk management strategies and frameworks.
• Provide expert guidance on risk analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management practices and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to risk management.
• Offer recommendations for systems and tools to enhance risk management capabilities.
• Support environmental health and safety initiatives by utilizing new and existing tools.
• Act as a key advisor to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and other senior leaders.
• Conduct regular risk reporting and communicate findings to stakeholders.• Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management or a related field.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs.
• Strong knowledge of risk analysis, frameworks, and strategies.
• Ability to lead complex projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey risk-related insights.
• Familiarity with environmental health and safety practices is a plus.
• Proficiency in recommending and utilizing systems to improve risk management processes.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; advanced degree or certifications are preferred.
