Personal Injury Law Firm

We’re seeking a Part-Time Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team and support our growing law practice. What You’ll Do:

• Provide essential administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
• Answer and route incoming calls and emails professionally
• Schedule meetings, deadlines, and court dates with precision
• Request, track, and organize medical and billing records
• File legal documents electronically with state and federal courts
• Assist with legal research and case preparation as needed
• Keep the office organized and running smoothly

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a law firm is preferred, but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software systems
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time management

$18 - $25 hourly

• Schedule team meetings and appointments, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with event vendors
• Ordering medical and billing records and electronically filing in state and federal courts
• Create and proofread pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and papers for case preparation
• Respond to emails and phone calls, contact opposing attorney offices, take dictation, and inform the team of deadlines
• Process client billing appropriately using daily time records, with the accounting department's assistance

• Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
• An Associate’s degree or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs
