\n\n As a middle school Special Education Teacher in Belmont, MA,
\nyour days will include:
Developing and delivering individualized instruction based on IEP goals
\n\tAdapting curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet student needs
\n\tManaging classroom behavior using positive behavioral supports and interventions
\n\tCollaborating with related service providers, general education teachers, and families
\n\tParticipating in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent conferences
\n\tMaintaining compliance with IDEA, state, and district regulations regarding special education
\n\tPosition: Contract – FMLA coverage (Sept. 1 – Nov. 30, with possible extension into December)
\n\tHours: Full-time, 35–40 hours per week
\n\tGrade Level: 7th & 8th grade
\n\tCaseload: 20–25 students (mild to moderate)
\n\tClassroom: Case management of students while teacher is on leave
\n\tInterview Method: Virtual
\n\tA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (required)
\n\tAn active MA teaching license in Special Education (required)
\n\tExperience in a school setting (preferred, but new graduates will be considered)
\n\tThe ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
