Job Description

Our client, a healthcare services provider, is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist in Bronx, NY.

Pay Rate Range: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Location: Bronx, NY - onsite role

Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday with the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business needs.

Dress Code: Business Casual or Scrubs

Duration: 3 months


Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a positive relationship with clients, providers, and patients.
• Work onsite at the client location, collaborating with office staff and healthcare professionals.
• Obtain pre-certifications, authorizations, and other referrals as assigned.
• Meet with patients to address billing questions, discuss collections, and resolve outstanding balances.
• Validate insurance and other billing information to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and report any billing or authorization issues to management for resolution.
• Contact insurance carriers to maximize reimbursement for accounts being worked.
• Meet established production, utilization, and quality standards.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and other required professional development activities.
• Present data to relevant stakeholders and collaborate to find solutions for any challenges.
• Take and make patient phone calls and assist with client front desk operations as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma / GED.
• 1+ years of healthcare customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple products and benefit levels.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused and productive, even with repetitive tasks.
