Job Summary

Seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Therapists to provide behavioral health and substance abuse counseling for individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This is a full-time, on-site position across various Virginia locations, offering an opportunity to impact lives within a supportive and multidisciplinary treatment team.

 

Job Description

• Deliver evidence-based counseling to patients in substance use disorder (SUD/OUD) treatment programs.
• Conduct clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy.
• Coordinate services with medical professionals and community agencies.
• Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Uphold ethical standards and contribute to a safe and supportive treatment environment.

Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Licensure: Must hold an LSW (Licensed Social Worker) or C-SAC (Certified Substance Abuse Counselor) credential in Virginia .
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with SUD, OUD, or behavioral health populations.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, addiction treatment modalities, and relevant state/federal regulations (including 42 CFR Part 8).
• Ability to manage patient crises, maintain clinical boundaries, and work independently as well as part of a team.
