Chef/Cook Opportunity At Legacy Of Farmington

Legacy of Farmington, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is seeking a chef/cook to join our expanding team! Our community is situated in Farmington, right off Denmark Ave. We assist seniors in aging magnificently within our 70-unit, apartment-style community that offers assisted living, independent living, and memory care services. We are a growing community with a caring, hardworking, and passionate team dedicated to helping our residents age magnificently. Join our team today! Shifts Available: Part-time AM/PM with every other weekend Wage: $17.50-$22.50 per hour

Our cook/chef becomes family and impacts the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Senior Living Community. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Ability to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
