Program Highlights:
- Hands-on Project Engagement: Dive into the heart of our active projects and gain practical experience working on real challenges within our organization. Your contributions will make a tangible impact as you apply your skills and learn in a real-world setting. Our Interior Design interns will work alongside and in collaboration with the project team and professional Interior Designers to develop high quality design and documents or drawings. The internship provides hands-on training in interior design techniques, procedures, and practices.
- Intern Group Project: Collaborate with a diverse group of interns across multiple disciplines on a comprehensive project designed to foster teamwork, communication, and innovative problem-solving. This collective effort ensures a rich learning environment where ideas flow freely, and knowledge is shared among peers.
- Engagement with Technical and Sustainability Committees: Be at the forefront of innovation! Contribute to projects that are shaping the future of our organization. From emerging technologies to sustainability initiatives, this internship will expose you to the current challenges and cutting-edge developments in the industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform basic interior design assignments with oversight and direction from a staff mentor.
- Attend client meetings and/or site visits alongside project staff.
- Work with and support our interior design team with all phases of drawing production, concept development, 3-D renderings/visualization, material palettes and meeting preparation.
- Research and selection of products, finishes and furniture.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Assist with interiors library updates, including ongoing maintenance and communication with manufacturer's representatives.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master interior design or interior architecture program.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT
- Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Salary Description
$19.00 per hour
