Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floor Installer to join our team, specializing in the installation of carpet and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial settings and be capable of delivering high-quality workmanship with attention to detail. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation.
Install carpet and LVT according to manufacturer guidelines and job specifications.
Remove and dispose of old flooring materials when necessary.
Cut flooring materials to fit around walls, doorways, and fixtures.
Inspect finished work to ensure high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the installation process.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Proven experience as a floor installer with specific expertise in carpet and LVT installation.
Knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and floor plans.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
Indoor job sites (residential and commercial).
May require travel to multiple locations.
Occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project deadlines.
