Overview:

Weatherspoon Enterprises Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time Drone Operator to join our Security Division. The ideal candidate will possess security guard certification through the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board (PPSB) and either hold or be willing to obtain FAA certification as a drone operator within 90 days of employment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drone Operations:
  • Operate drones for surveillance and security monitoring of designated areas.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on drones and related equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations and guidelines for drone operations.
• Security Duties:
  • Perform security patrols using drones to identify and report suspicious activities.
  • Collaborate with the on-ground security team to provide comprehensive security coverage.
  • Respond promptly to security alerts and emergencies, providing aerial support as needed.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of drone flight operations, incidents, and security breaches.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on security findings and drone usage.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of drone operation protocols and procedures.
• Training and Development:
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance drone operation skills.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in drone technology and security practices.
  • Assist in training other security personnel on basic drone operation and safety measures.

Qualifications:

• Certification:
  • Must be security guard certified through the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board (PPSB).
  • Must obtain FAA certification as a drone operator within 90 days of employment.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in security operations or drone piloting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
• Skills:
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot drone equipment effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate drones for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Compensation:

• Hourly wage range based on experience and qualifications is $15-$18 per hour.
