Job Description

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst for a full-time, mid-level position within the Forensics department. The primary responsibilities include the preservation and collection of mobile device and cloud-stored data, performing forensic data collection and analysis, and coordinating with legal and IT teams. The role requires travel for on-site collection and in-office work at the primary firm location, which includes a forensics lab and data center.

The ideal candidate should have:

• An undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science, Computer Science, or related fields
• At least 1 year of relevant experience with forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisition, and analysis
• Experience with industry-standard forensic tools such as EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, and Logicube Falcon
• Understanding of filesystems, mobile devices, encryption, and preservation of various data sources
• Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel

Preferred qualifications include industry certifications (e.g., EnCE, CCE, GCFE), knowledge of litigation support applications, scripting, and programming skills.

CGS offers a pay range of $63,093.33 to $85,626.66 per year, based on experience and skills, along with comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
