Job Summary: Responsible for the delivery of consulting services in areas of key organizational importance. Provides leadership for the delivery of high quality and cost-effective consulting services/products that address critical organizational issues. Partners with Medical Center leadership teams and departments to support the effectiveness of local programs, enabling leadership to meet key organizational initiatives. Supports leadership in attaining organizational goals. Essential Responsibilities: Provides leadership and expert consultation on designing, developing, and implementing programs related to the area of expertise. Serves as the content expert in the responsible technical areas and offers technical assistance and advice. Leads a team of consultants, analysts, and/or staff focused on delivering services/products within the responsible technical areas. Provides leadership and direction aligned with the overall strategic goals of the group. Develops standards, procedures, and policies to ensure the responsible unit maintains quality standards acceptable to clients. Ensures reports and information disseminated from the area are accurate, timely, and meet client needs. Secondary Functions: This position is part of the Patient Care Services Clinical Nurse Specialist Fellowship Program. Kaiser Permanente will provide 100% tuition coverage at CSU Dominguez Hills. The incumbent will be allotted 16 hours per pay period for studies during school sessions and will be placed with a KPCNS preceptor at a different facility for 500 clinical hours. Upon completing their MSNCNS degree, the incumbent will transition into a Clinical Nurse Specialist position. The incumbent must maintain good academic standing, pass all courses, and progress without leaves of absence to retain employment. Travel to CSU Dominguez Hills and other KP facilities will be required. The incumbent is responsible for any fees outside of tuition, including travel costs.
