Aerotek is looking to hire several Cable Technician/ Low Voltage Technicians to work at a Semi Conductor facility in the North Phoenix area. **This is a prevailing wage site and the pay rate is $51 an hour on the 1st shift.** Please read the job description below and if you are a good fit, apply to the job posting and a recruiter named Patrick will call you withing 24- 48 hours. **Job Title:** Cable Technician II / Fiber Technician II **Pay Rate:** $51 an hour **Location** : North Phoenix 85083 Description **:** As a Cable Tech 2, you will be responsible for pulling cables, assisting with tasks, running and handling materials, and utilizing hand and power tools effectively. This role involves working with structured cabling, cable installation, and testing copper cables such as Cat 5 and Cat 6. You will also have the opportunity to work with fiber optic cables. Fiber Technician is responsible for all aspects, of Fiber including but not limited to installing, terminating, testing, and splicing. Structured Cabling will install a work area outlet for floor or wall (terminate CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks. Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly. Structured Cabling will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware). Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required. Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels). Testing - The Fiber Technician will test using an OTDR, Fluke DTX 180 - The Fiber Technician troubleshoots using an OTDR to identify and correct problems end to end, and Network-wide Splicing - The Fiber Technician will perform mechanical splicing with all types of fiber cable - The Fiber Technician will perform fusion splicing with all types of fiber cable - The Fiber Technician performs building entrance splices, maintenance space, and direct buried splices **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ 85083. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
