As an Activities Assistant, you will help implement programs that promote social interaction, skill development, and overall well-being.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of activities and events. You will work closely with the Activities Director to ensure that all programs run smoothly and meet the needs and interests of our diverse community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and organization of daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
- Encourage participation and engagement from individuals, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Prepare materials, set up activity spaces, and ensure that all equipment is in working order.
- Collaborate with the Activities Director to brainstorm and implement creative new programs.
- Monitor and document participant engagement and feedback to continuously improve activity offerings.
- Ensure all events are conducted in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Provide support during events, including welcoming participants and leading activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized activity area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a relevant field is a plus.
- Prior experience in a similar role or in planning and executing events is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative activity ideas.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for scheduling and documentation purposes.
- Ability to lift and move activity equipment as needed.
