5th Grade Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Teacher to inspire and educate young learners in a vibrant classroom environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the academic and social development of students, fostering a love for learning across core subjects such as literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
  • Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive lessons.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and ongoing observations.
  • Provide individualized tutoring and support for students needing extra help in literacy education, math, or special education needs such as working with children with autism or early intervention programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored educational plans that support early childhood development and behavioral management.
  • Support students’ social-emotional growth by fostering positive behavior management techniques and encouraging respectful communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education strategies, and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience with curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and social studies.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.
